Biodiversity in the Garden
BOOK NOWBiodiversity in the Garden talk by Dr Matthew Jebb of National Botanic Gardens
To celebrate National Biodiversity Week, Irish botanist and Director of the National Botanic Gardens, Dr. Matthew Jebb will return to Killruddery for an illuminating talk - ‘Biodiversity in the Garden’, sharing his extensive knowledge about Ireland’s trees, plants and natural landscape along the way.
As well as describing the wonders of plants, Matthew will share how we can all do our bit to welcome more wildlife into our gardens. There are over 2 million domestic gardens in Ireland (in all, about 500 square miles). Just imagine if even half of those gardens became biodiversity-friendly.
With an introduction by Lord Meath (as this is a subject very close to his heart), you are welcome to join us to celebrate Biodiversity Week and learn how you can make your very own green space, no matter how big or small, as biodiverse as possible.
