Darren Farren's tour of Killruddery's 17th century gardens
To celebrate Biodiversity Week, Killruddery Head Gardener, Daragh Farren will lead a Head Gardener’s tour of the 17th century heritage gardens that he and his team maintain and nurture, sharing his extensive knowledge along the way.
At the beginning of this tour you will meet Daragh at the entrance to the gardens and walk most of the formal sections, where he will explain the trials and tribulations of caring for a garden like Killruddery, and some of the changes and developments over the years.
There will be plenty of time to ask him for expert advice, from experience of gardening at Killruddery, to other general gardening questions.
ABOUT DARAGH FARREN
Daragh Farren, Head Gardener of Killruddery has 30 years of extensive gardening experience. Having studied at the National Botanic Gardens and TU Dublin, before his time at Killruddery, Daragh worked on the gardening team at the residence of the British Ambassador to Ireland. For the last 23 years, Daragh has led the Killruddery Garden Department.
