Enniscoe People Exhibition

A celebration of the many generations of families, faces and memories connected to Enniscoe House and estate.

Enniscoe House and estate has been owned by the same family for thirteen generations and is an integral part of the fabric of North Mayo and its history. The photograph shows the  Greenhouse in Enniscoe Ornamental garden in the 1940’s, with - from left to right:

The exhibition ENNISCOE PEOPLE will be opened on Saturday 10th August in the Enniscoe Conference Centre by Professor Terence Dooley of Maynooth University.

Professor Dooley is also the Director of the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses at NUI Maynooth.  He is a well-known historian and among his many books are The Decline of the Big House in Ireland and The Land for the People: The Land Question in Independent Ireland and he is and a good friend of Enniscoe House and its vibrant history.
